Welcoming Maya Lucia Alcantara...

Today we had the joy of holding a newborn baby! Maya Lucia was born this morning at 1:37am to proud parents, Jared and Jennifer Alcantara. Jennifer is my cousin, and her and her husband live less than an hour from us.

Little Maya is their first child and she is a real beauty! Bethany and Sarah went with me to the hospital and were overjoyed beyond words to be able to hold her! Sarah was especially happy and kept telling me that she had never gotten to hold a newborn baby before. I then remembered that she didn't get to see her brothers, much less hold them for several weeks, due to their early arrival, stay in the NICU and the fact that she had a cold when they were born. This was indeed a big moment for her and she cherished her time with baby Maya.

We are so happy to have a new cousin to love and play with! Praising God for a safe delivery and for the wonderful gift of new life!
