Update on Grandma....

Wanted to give you a brief update on my grandmother and thank you all for your prayers and kind words. It is comforting to know that so many people are praying for her.

She was transferred to a rehab facility on THURS and will be staying there for an unknown amount of time. How she does there will determine whether or not she will be able to return home to live with my mom and Bob or if she will have to live in a nursing facility. At least there is some hope now, as the doctors have been able to evaluate things a bit better. She seems to have some damage to her her left leg, and her mobility has been affected. She is receiving physical therapy to help with this and we are praying that it is only a temporary setback and that she will gradually return back to her former levels of ability. Her dementia has definitely been worse since her stroke and this is probably partly due to the change in her living arrangements. While living at my mom's even the least little change to her daily routine would set her off on confusion and nonsense, so you can only imagine what all this has done to her mentally! Mom and Bob are there with her for most of the day, helping to feed her meals and assisting her in whatever ways they can.

Please continue to pray for her healing, especially that she will improve enough to return home to live. We are thankful that the outlook isn't as bleak as it was first painted by the emergency room doctors/nurses. Also please continue to pray for comfort for her mentally, that she will not be too upset by all of the changes, having to live in a strange place for the time being. My mother and Bob really appreciate your prayers for them as well, for wisdom and that they will be able to stay strong and healthy to continue to minister and care for her during this difficult time.

Thank you so much!
