Family....
During the month of August we enjoyed spending time with some of our extended family, many of whom we don't get to see as often as we would like. Family has always been such an important part of my life, growing up and as an adult. I am so thankful for each moment I have with those God has placed in my life.
My uncle, who lives in Maine, flew out to the west coast the first part of the month, and we spent a lovely day together at the Sowdon Farm in Cottage Grove. Two of my 2nd cousins, who live in Ashland, Oregon, were there as well. It was so good to be together and just enjoy each other's company. The last time we had all been together was a rather sad occasion, for the death of my grandfather.

We had enjoyed our visit to Bend in July and so we returned to do a little camping at Tumalo State Park...this time bringing the grandparents along. They brought their RV and we tent camped. Meals cooked outdoors, a visit to the High Desert Museum and a swim in the Dechutes River was enjoyed by all.

Next comes dessert...pass the chocolate!

And lastly before the month was over, we had welcomed our newest cousin Liliana Belen Alcantara.

Quinn's older brother Logan and Sarah...only a year apart!
We were so thankful to be able to spent this time with them before Maya and baby Lily moved with their parents to New Jersey!
