"Happy Birthday To Me!"

This is what awakened my oldest daughter Bethany EARLY this morning...a serenade by the birthday girl herself. Sarah was just A LITTLE BIT excited that today she was turning five! We have actually been celebrating for the past few days with Grandpa here to visit. Saturday was a real highlight as the girls both chose their birthday gifts at TOYS R US. Sarah chose a large STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE doll...with bright red hair of course...and she smells oh so good...like strawberries! Maybe that is why she chose to have strawberry cupcakes tonight after dinner to celebrate. :) Bethany chose a POLLY POCKET Ride-Together Ranch set complete with dolls, horses and all the accessories! Oh boy...what fun! After arriving back at home, they first gave their grandfather BIG hugs...glad they remembered their manners...and then quickly disappeared into their room with boxes in hand. We didn't see them again for another 2 hours...when they got hungry. LOL! Grandpa left for home this afternoon and we all were a bit sad, but left with happy memories of our time together. Tomorrow we will delve back into the school books after a few fun-filled days off and try to settle into some old routines.
